Yeah! That's right! Players of every game are equally responsible for making the game proceed further. Participating, competing and learning from mistakes/ faults should be the ultimate aim of every participant of the game!Let's analyze the question, "what is winning?"
Winning can be anything and it's definition varies with each player/participant, like winning can be:
1-Reaching to the top of the ladder.
2-Making other players feel that they've lost the game. (Negativity)
3-Participating, without thinking about final result.
4-Testing his strategy, potential, limits and ability to perform in tough, tougher and the toughest situations.
5-Learning from the faults and loopholes in the strategy.
6-Going ahead in life.
If we observe all of these points, these all can be achieved "even" after helping other player to win (there's no word like losing, because one cannot win alone)
So everyone is a winner! :)
Defeat teaches the new lessons of success...

True, defeat is a very practical teacher. Usually teachers make students learn by teaching them case studies etc, but defeat makes you learn (or i must say you try to learn) after you have been from that phase previously.

The blog's title was catchy , partly because I myself keeping trying to come up with theories to prove that everyone's a winner and partly because its a odd slogan to raise in the today's success-obsessed society.
Its a humanistic approach i.e, it tries to credit the left-outs as well. It can be a good way to buck oneself up when failure stares one in face. Otherwise , taking gravity off the term failure in this way, will only raise the risk of it.
I agree with Asma , its only in failure that we learn. Success never teaches anything ! But sometimes one takes a fancy to such learnings and keeps failing again and again. I call it romanticizing with failures. Only way to crawl out of such perverted behavior is by reminding oneself that no matter how comfortable the Everyone's-a-winner-theories may seem , there never was and never will be any place for a failure in this world.Success is the idol , we are the worshipers .

Yes you are right Sadaf. But if everyone starts to give importance to the term "failure", we will raise the risk of it as well.
I agree with your thoughts but it's something that only people like us will understand, what about that person standing right in the middle of a situation where he considers "death" as the only way out? Not everyone understands the importance of failure (and success) because people are not clear about the meaning of these two.
It's in the "meaning" of these two words, which varies from person to person. Focus should be on the perception and not the outcome.

"Its a 'i-don't-know-what' approach i.e, it tries to 'slap the left-outs in their faces' and then credit them as well"
everyone is a winner only in case if a loser learns from his defeat or loss and the winner tries to be humble and appreciates the loser then only a harmony can be created
True ! Like I said , we are a part of success-worshiping society.
As you can see the image, there "IS" a difference between the 3 positions (observe the height) but all are regarded as number 1.
Everyone is equal when everyone "feels" they are, keeping the difference but neglecting them.
